Quality crap

Some of you guys asked if I could transfer some songs in better quality than streaming, of course I can! I cannot export in FLAC using Garage Band so here is the best quality available for now: AAC 44.1khz 360kbpm stereo.

I though about some extra so voilĂ :

Two songs I had not published yet on this blog:

One-eyed crone, based on a story and lyrics written by Quentin (Acolyt #2) inspired by a twisted dream he had where if he closed his eyes and went to sleep, death would take him... scary! Musically it's probably the most melodic piece I've written maybe a little too much ;)

Insanity Darkness Metal: I wanted an introduction to our future EP that would be kind of like an essay intro. The song introduces all the themes that will be developed in the other songs. In my opinion this song is the most violent I've done, very efficient. Quentin wrote the lyrics based on the specs I gave him :)

One old song remastered!

A strange library for Dr. Brisby, good old Brisby started to sound a bit dusty compared to what happened after. This song is very dear to me because it's where I think I carved what is The Acolyts sound. However the song started to sound weak so I've redone all the voice tracks, remixed the instruments and even cut a tiny piece of it, you'll probably won't notice it, but it's 20 seconds shorter because one riff is played one time less. Result? better in my opinion!!

Two songs in top quality:

Funerals on the moon, the epic futuristic doom tale and Castle Bravo, the apocalyptic doom/thrash metal piece!!

I hope you guys enjoy all these song as much as I do, and please please don't hesitate to comment, give me your opinions :D

Yeaah !
It's changed my life at work, I can now listen to good music while doing the most boring tasks ;-)
I am not (yet) a mac user, but I think you can export music in aiff format which is, to simplify, the Mac's equivalent to windows WAV. It's easy to convert it after in any other format with free softwares.
And don't forget to preserve the dynamic in your mix, we have to win the loudness war ! (yesterday was the dynamic range day : http://productionadvice.co.uk/dynamic-range-day/)
Thanks a lot for the songs !

yes indeed, I have now the option to export the songs in AIFF because I just switched to a more powerful software :) I'm currently discovering all of its intricacies, when I'm done, I will re-mix all of the song and keep in mind the loudness factor, I do want the songs to have sharp levels of loundness contrast. Current CD releases are a shame, espacially Metallica's Death Magnetic, such a horrible sound, I can never really tell if the songs are awful or if it's just the loundess...
