Japon troisième jour

Aujourd'hui nous avons passé la majeure partie du temps dans le quartier de Asakusa ou se trouve le célèbre temple de sensō-ji! Le soir nous sommes allé a shinjuku voir un "spectacle" assez hors du commun à base de robots et de femmes en bikini.

Japon deuxième jour

Nous sommes arrivés hier soir à Tokyo, on est directement allé chez Cyril dans le quartier de Akasaka. Après une bonne douche pour nettoyer 18 heures de transport on est allé dormir comme des bébés !
On s'est levé tôt aujourd'hui (9 heures!) et on est aussitôt parti en visite après avoir acheté un petit déj au combini du coin ( un sandwich aux soba pour moi ) . On a commencé par le quartier de Harajuku au park de yoyogi où se trouve le temple de l'empereur Meiji. Ensuite visite d'une rue marchande animée Takeshita-dori, renommée pour ses gothiques, punks et "kawaiis" façon manga mignon.
Ensuite petite escapade à côté des Jardins de l'empereur à Marunouchi et dégustation de Tempuras avec Cyril.
Pour continuer on est allé à Akihabara, la "ville électrique" et ses pubs de jeux vidéo gigantesques et ses fameux "maid cafés".
Ce soir on va se faire un petit resto.... Japonais !

THE ACOLYTS @ La Miroiterie

Last week The Acolyts played live at La Miroiterie, a famous Parisian punk squat which unfortunately will be closed down by the authorities in about 3 days. So long free speech, money comes first.
We shared the stage with Fräulein, Keira Mount Keira and Jack & the Bearded Fisherman, they rocked!
Anyway, we had a tremendous blast and I wanted to share with you a couple of moments if you haven't been spammed by me on another medium:

We had the best audience a band can think of, so thanks again guys, it was an honor to play for you!

Strange PHP5.3 require_once bug

It started yesterday, a strange production bug which made a page unavailable to the end-user. The project I work on has a very nifty bug catching feature that just outputs a blank page whenever a 500 error happen (which makes it soooo easy to debug). So I roll-up my sleeves and ssh on the production server and start browsing this haystack of logs we keep. There I find the source of this ugly 500: PHP Fatal error: require_once(): failed opening required '/opt/www/model/app.mailgnp.php' in /opt/www/view/mailform.php line 10 (yes we have an ugly app). Ok, so there must be a typo of some sort. Opening mailform.php, what do I find on line 10? require_once '/opt/www/model/app.mailgrp.php';

Yes indeed, '/opt/www/model/app.mailgrp.php' exists and '/opt/www/model/app.mailgnp.php' doesn't. So why in the world PHP is trying to load a file that doesn't exist instead of the one that's written in the statement??

Replacing require_once with include fixed the bug, and now I'm left with a fixed bug but no clue about why it happened and a strange feeling of a coming doom (I cannot safely rely anymore on what looked like a perfectly Cartesian process).

Paris Clem: now lost in a sea of uncertainty

Normandy

I've spent Easter in french Normandy at Seb's parents house. We had a nice BBQ, even though the weather wasn't on our side. We took a stroll in the fields and there I took this picture.

At last!

We had freezing temperatures for a couple of weeks but while the whole country enjoyed a nice cover of snow, in Paris, we did not! And then, overnight, the city had been frosted like a giant cake!
